The AOP Volnay takes its name from the charming eponymous village in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune vineyards. This unique terroir, characterized by clay-limestone soils and ideal exposure, gives Volnay wines their distinctive character and incomparable elegance.

The grape variety

The grape variety grown in AOP Volnay is Pinot Noir. AOP Volnay red wines are distinguished by their finesse, elegance and aromatic complexity. They reveal subtle aromas of red fruits, spices and undergrowth, with silky tannins and a long finish on the palate.
