Mas Haut-Buis

Le Mas Haut Buis in brief....

Le Mas Haut Buis is a superb Languedoc estate, located in Vaquerie, in the Larzac region. Olivier Jeantet has been vinifying this AOP Terrasses du Larac estate since 1999. The Mas Haut Buis parcels are located in the Pégairolles and Lauroux valleys.

.

Mas Haut Buis covers 14 hectares, with many old vines over 70 years old. The estate produces a majority of Grenache, but also Carignan and Syrah. The whites, for their part, are made from chardonnay and roussanne.

The terroir of Mas Haut Buis is conducive to the production of well-balanced wines: limestone soils, cool nights, good rainfall - these are the ideal conditions for creating great Languedoc wines. Moreover, the organic management of the vineyard brings typicity in addition to respecting the environment.

Mas Haut Buis wines are aged in large containers, not in barrels, so as not to denature the wines.

Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2023: "Olivier Jeantet, settled since 1999, is a self-taught man who quickly understood the workings of the trade and the demands necessary to produce great wines of character, which reflect the tension and uprightness of the Terrasses du Larzac. A heritage of old vines, hard work in the vineyard, ageing in large containers and meticulously thought-out blends have enabled this estate to become one of the appellation's sure-fire performers..."
