Discover the PGI Méditerranée organic wines from Domaine de Triennes

The Indication Géographique Protégée (IGP) Méditerranée is an emblematic wine region in the south of France, characterized by an exceptional terroir and a wide diversity of grape varieties. This PGI encompasses several départements, including Var, Bouches-du-Rhône, Alpes-Maritimes and Vaucluse, and represents a veritable nursery of Mediterranean wines, both rich in flavor and character.

The IGP Méditerranée terroir is marked by the presence of a variety of soils, from clay to shale to limestone, as well as a warm, sunny Mediterranean climate. This unique combination of geological and climatic factors gives the wines great aromatic richness and an authentic expression of terroir.

The IGP Méditerranée winemakers are committed to sustainable viticulture, favoring practices that respect the environment. By limiting the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, they preserve soil biodiversity and help protect the local ecosystem. Some wineries have also opted to convert to organic or biodynamic farming, to guarantee the purity and authenticity of their wines.

The Méditerranée PGI covers around 30,000 hectares of vineyards spread over several departments in the south of France. Each year, this PGI produces around 700,000 hectoliters of wine, divided between reds, rosés and whites. Mediterranean PGI wines are distinguished by their diversity and quality, offering a palette of flavors and aromas that appeal to wine lovers the world over.
