The IGP (Indication Géographique Protégée) wines of the Var, located in southeastern France, are a true expression of the diversity and richness of the Var terroir. More and more growers of Var PGI wines are turning to environmentally-friendly growing practices, such as organic farming or viticulture raisonnée. By limiting the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, they are helping to preserve soil biodiversity and protect the local ecosystem, while guaranteeing the quality and authenticity of their products.

The Var is one of the main wine-producing departments in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, with around 23,000 hectares of vineyards, part of which is dedicated to IGP wines. Each year, these vineyards produce around 600,000 hectolitres of wine, divided between reds, rosés and whites. The region's emblematic grape varieties, such as Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Rolle, are behind elegant, aromatic wines that appeal to wine lovers the world over.

Var PGI wines stand out for their quality and unique character, reflecting the typicity of the terroir and the passion of the winemakers. The reds, with their aromas of red fruits, spices and garrigue, offer great concentration and complexity on the palate. The rosés, light and fruity, seduce with their freshness and liveliness, while the whites, with notes of citrus, white flowers and exotic fruit, offer beautiful freshness and great elegance.
