Château La Baronne

Le Chateau La Baronne in a few words....

Chateau La Baronne is a Corbières estate producing superb organic and natural wines. The Lignières family is a singular family of winegrower-doctors. The estate is located at the foot of the Alaric mountains and extends over 35 hectares of vines. The Château is certified organic and practices biodynamic viticulture. The vines are hand-picked.

The aim of Château La Baronne is to produce wines that are fresh and respectful of the environment, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The estate's wines are digestible and elegant, with good ageing potential.

Les cuvées du Château la Baronne

Les Lanes is the estate's first Corbières: it develops notes of cherries, spices and is endowed with crisp tannins.

Les Chemins rouge is a more powerful organic wine, with silky but present tannins. Les Chemins blancs is a well-balanced, gourmet white, at home with fish and cheese.

Cayrelières is an original cuvée, 100% grenache and sulfur-free: a wine full of fruit that needs a little aeration to fully blossom.

Alaric is a Syrah-majority cuvée, aged in sous bois and cut for ageing: it develops on notes of black fruits and spices, zan. Superb with lamb.
