Le Mas del Périé in a few words...
Fabien JOUVES, who runs the Mas del Périé, comes from an old farming family in the Causse and produces organic Cahors with a modern edge. He became a winemaker in 2006, creating Mas del Périé on the highest slopes of Cahors.
Malbec (Cot) is the king grape variety here. Given the estate's location at the junction of the terroirs of the Quercy hillsides and those of Cahors, parcel selection was an obvious way to express the different facets of Malbec. This expression of terroir is reinforced by Bio-dynamic agriculture that respects life, the plant, Man and his environment.Mas del Périé wines revisit the historic Cahors grape variety, Malbec, with extraordinary finesse and fruit brightness.
The Mas del Périé estate has been in organic conversion since 2009 and also practices bio-dynamic methods. The winemaker aims for a beautiful burst of fruit and terroir typicity. It's quite successful.
With Mas del Périé, you can enjoy great Cahors with velvety tannins and plenty of finesse.

Les Escures is Mas del Périé's first AOC Cahors wine: fruity, gourmand, it enjoys lovely aromatic definition and fine tannins.
La Roque, aged in one- and two-wine casks, is richer, rounder. This cuvée enjoys very good value for money.
Les Acacias is a great cuvée aged in foudre: powerful, racy yet digestible and endowed with silky tannins, this is a magnificent Cahors cuvée in 2009. A big favorite for this cuvée from Mas del Périé.
La Grande Pièce has a more modern style, with a rather pronounced woodiness. It's essential to wait for this wine to mellow.

La Roque du Mas del Périé is an organic Cahors wine of rare elegance. The malbec is truly highlighted by incredibly fine tannins and bright fruit. The wine reveals notes of black fruit, zan and cloves. The palate is round, full and charming. A superb success! Our favorite of the range!
