The Landes PGI terroir is remarkably diverse, offering a multitude of microclimates and soils conducive to the cultivation of typical Landes grape varieties such as Tannat, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Colombard. From clay-limestone slopes to sandy plains to gravel hills, each vineyard plot reveals a unique expression, giving the wines a singular identity and incomparable typicity.
The traditional grape varieties of the Landes PGIs, such as Tannat and Cabernet Sauvignon for the reds, and Colombard for the whites, are the source of wines with intense aromas and generous structure. Les Pieds dans le sable blanc is a wine with a clear, brilliant color; the nose is rich, fresh and aromatic (exotic and white-fleshed fruits), the palate lively and straightforward. Notes of citrus and exotic fruit are present. It leaves us with a saline finish with lovely tension.
