The Lédogar estate in a few words...
The Domaine Ledogar is run by the Ledogar family and comprises 22 hectares of vines spread mainly over the Boutenac terroir. At Domaine Ledogar, viticulture is natural: special care is lavished on the very old Carignan and Grenache vines (between 60 and 110 years old) that make up two-thirds of the property.Domaine Ledogar wines are rich and excellent value for money. La Mariole is a buddy wine made from old Carignan: gourmand, it often requires a good carafage to fully deliver.

Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2020 on the Ledogar estate: "Driven by a new generation embodied by sons Xavier and Mathieu, the Ledogar family converted the cooperative estate into a private winery (formerly Domaine Grand Lauze) during 1998. The twenty-hectare vineyard stretches over the clay and limestone soil mixed with pebbles and red sandstone of the young Corbières-Boutenac appellation, whose low-fertility soils are highly conducive to the full aromatic expression of old Carignan vines. Organic since 2009, at the cost of a great deal of hard work, the vineyard is planted with two-thirds each of Carignan and Grenache, ranging in age from 60 to 120 years. The whites, of great character, are made from macabeu and carignan blanc. The wines display that little extra life, that grain of fantasy that triggers emotion."

The Compagnon du Domaine Lédogar is a great Corbières. The color is concentrated, with light ruby highlights. The nose is floral, evoking black fruit buds. The palate is explosive, with notes of black fruit and liquorice. A superb success.
