Château Plaisance
Chateau Plaisance in a nutshell....
Chateau Plaisance is an estate located in Fronton, in southwest France, more precisely in the Occitanie region. Château Plaisance produces lovely organic red and rosé wines, notably from the region's emblematic grape variety, Négrette.
Chateau Plaisance has a long history dating back to the 19th century. It was acquired by the Bouisset family in 1906 and has remained in the same family ever since, with the fifth generation now managing the estate.
The Château Plaisance estate covers around 50 hectares of vines, mainly planted with Négrette, as well as Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Gamay. The vines are grown using traditional, environmentally-friendly methods, with organic farming certification since 2010.
Chateau Plaisance is renowned for its organic red and rosé wines, for their elegance, freshness and aromatic complexity. Negrette, a grape variety used in the production of red wines in particular, brings an intense fruity touch to the wines, all with little acidity.
