The Appellation d'Origine Protégée (AOP) Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil is a wine-growing nugget nestled in France's Loire Valley. Famous for its elegant, fruity red wines, this AOP embodies the excellence of Loire viticulture, combining tradition, know-how and exceptional terroir.

The terroir of the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil PDO is characterized by clay-limestone soils and well-exposed hillsides, ideal for growing the region's emblematic grape variety, Cabernet Franc.

The Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil PDO covers around 1,200 hectares of vineyards, spread over several communes in Indre-et-Loire. Each year, this PDO produces around 50,000 hectolitres of red wine, accounting for almost 100% of total production. Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil PDO wines are distinguished by their freshness, fruitiness and elegance, offering a palette of flavors that appeals to wine lovers the world over.

The wines of the Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil PDO stand out for their quality and unique character, reflecting the richness and diversity of the Loire terroir. The reds, made from the Cabernet Franc grape variety, offer aromas of red fruit, blackcurrant and violet, with silky tannins and good structure on the palate. These wines stand out for their ability to age elegantly, gaining in complexity and refinement over the years.
