The Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson in a few words..
The Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson is a superb Burgundy estate, with a strong presence in the Saint-Romain AOC in both white and red. The domaine has had a tradition of respect for terroir since the 1970s, enhanced by the implementation of certified organic farming since 2009.
The Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson, located in Saint-Romain, Burgundy, is an essential reference for lovers of exceptional wines. For eight generations, this family of winemakers has cultivated vines with passion and expertise, producing authentic wines deeply rooted in their terroir. Today, Franck and Frédérick Buisson perpetuate this tradition by adopting a modern, environmentally-friendly approach to organic and biodynamic farming. Thanks to meticulous winemaking and absolute respect for the terroir, Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson produces pure, elegant and balanced wines that express with finesse all the richness of Saint-Romain and the surrounding appellations.
The Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson covers 19 hectares, spread over several prestigious Côte de Beaune appellations, including Saint-Romain, Corton-Charlemagne, Pommard and Meursault. Situated at a higher altitude than most Côte de Beaune vineyards, Saint-Romain benefits from a cool, breezy climate that allows the grapes to ripen slowly and progressively, guaranteeing wines with good acidity and excellent ageing potential. The estate's soils are mainly composed of limestone and marl, offering a marked minerality to the white wines and great finesse to the reds.
Committed to a sustainable approach, the Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson is certified organic and biodynamic.
Thanks to its commitment to respectful viticulture and precise vinification, Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson is today recognized as one of the finest producers in Saint-Romain and the Côte de Beaune. Its elegant, racy wines win over Burgundy connoisseurs and feature on the menus of the finest gourmet tables. With an approach combining tradition and innovation, Franck and Frédérick Buisson demonstrate that Burgundy can combine purity, balance and depth, sublimating Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
The Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson continues to make progress in defining its wines. The Saint-Romain rouge la Combe Bazin is fresh and fruity, with redcurrant notes.
The different Saint-Romain parcels all have very specific profiles:
The Saint-Romain le Jarron from the Henri and Gilles Buisson estate is the most acessible in youth, the roundest too.
The Saint-Romain Sous la Velle from domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson has more identity and is straighter, one of the PDO's emblematic terroirs.
The Saint-Romain La Perrière is the most typical, with notes of undergrowth and torrents.
Organic wines from Domaine Henri et Gilles Buisson have a beautiful clarity of fruit and an ageing process that is present but very contained and controlled. These wines are still affordable. In view of their quality, don't hesitate to taste them!

Certified organic since 2009, they will be switching to biodynamic viticulture in 2018. For ten years now, they have been following the lunar calendar for their bottling.
