AOC Saint Véran

AOP Saint-Véran is a French wine appellation located in Burgundy, about 20 kilometers south of Mâcon. It is known for the production of dry white wines made from the Chardonnay grape variety.

The Saint-Véran vineyard is located on the Côte Chalonnaise, at an altitude of between 200 and 400 meters. The soils are mainly composed of clay and limestone, which give the wines their distinct minerality and structure.

The region's climate is continental, with hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters. These climatic conditions favor the production of elegant, complex dry white wines.

The white wines of the Saint-Véran PDO are generally pale yellow to golden yellow in color. They present aromas of white fruit, flowers and honey. They are dry, with good acidity and pronounced minerality. They can age for several years.
