Chateau Armoria in a few words...

Le Château Armoria (a blend of the words Amour and Harmonie), is a young and dynamic estate located in the Minervois. Chateau Armoria is farmed organically. It is located between Laure and Villeneuve Minervois. Château Armoria red wines are made from carignan, syrah, grenache and mourvèdre grapes. They are fresh and fine, always delicate. Chateau Aromia produces a dry white wine made from Ugni blanc that deserves your attention.

Chateau Armoria covers 8 hectares of vines. It is run by Julien Salles, a young and talented winemaker who strives to produce accessible, supple and gourmet wines, on a terroir where red wines have a reputation for being structured and powerful.

The 2016 update about Château Armoria: ""We've been established since January 2016, after a professional retraining, the estate has been in the family for seven generations. The region is moving well, there's a big dynamic in wine. For the moment, we're selling locally, to wine merchants and restaurants, as well as in our cellar, recently awarded the Pays Cathare label, and we're getting very good feedback, which is encouraging. Visitors are very interested not only in the history of our old winery, but also in our conversion process. When we took over, the big job was the vineyard and the winery, but now it's the sales team. My uncle was in the wine trade, so you could say we're starting from scratch... We're concentrating particularly on red wines, making lots of small cuvées, with a real emphasis on blending. We don't use wood, which isn't the type of wine that appeals to us. The terroir allows us to make the wines we like, fresh and fruity. We're going through a period of restructuring, we're converting to organic farming with an agroecological approach... Today, we're in the midst of development and it's exciting. "

The Château Armoria cuvées

Transformation is a fresh, easy-to-digest Minervois.

Aura is a 100% Grenache cuvée, with notes of black fruit and sweet spices, a great success.

Nova is a carignan, partially vivified in carbonic maceration: a spicy, gourmand wine, a superb success from Château Armoria.

Agartha is the grand vin de garde, structured and powerful. Forget about 10 years in the cellar!

The blanc du Château Armoria is fresh and fruity, a lovely ugni-blanc full of personality.

Where is Château Armoria located?

Chateau Armoria is located in the heart of the Minervois region, in Laure-Minervois, north of Carcassonne.

Chateau Armoria has a wide variety of soils: very clayey on some plots, and clayey-limestone or sandy on others. Thanks to this terroir, freshness is the main characteristic of the Minervois Armoria wines.

Chateau Armoria can be visited. The estate has 2 self-catering cottages for overnight stays, as well as space for 3 motorhomes. It is possible to visit the cellar and taste the red and white Minervois wines that the estate offers.
