The Domaine Emilien Jean is a vineyard located in the Marmandais appellation, in southwestern France. The Marmandais appellation is located in the wine-growing region of southwestern France, about 100 km east of Bordeaux. It is known for its red wines produced from grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec.
The Domaine Emilien Jean extends over 5 ha of old vines over 30 years old, planted with Malbec, Cabernet-Franc, Abouriou and Merlot for the reds and Sauvignon blanc. The terroirs are clay-gravel and clay-limestone.
Emilien Jean is a talented young winemaker who has been running his organic estate since 2016. In the Côtes du Marmandais PDO, he produces digestible wines like Be Api, but also fine gourmet wines like Anthophila for example.
