Château de Béru

Le Château de Béru in a few words....

Le Château de Béru, located on the heights of Chablis, is an emblematic estate that combines history and modernity. Managed by Athénaïs de Béru, this family estate has established itself as a benchmark for organic and biodynamic wines in Burgundy. For several generations, the château has been committed to producing wines of remarkable purity and elegance, highlighting the unique terroir of Chablis. With a philosophy focused on respect for nature and biodiversity, Château de Béru crafts authentic wines, accurately reflecting the mineral and saline characteristics typical of great Chablis.

Chateau de Béru extends over 15 hectares of vines situated on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone slopes, giving the wines great finesse and exceptional minerality. Chablis benefits from a continental climate, with cold winters and hot summers, offering ideal conditions for Chardonnay ripening.

.

The estate's soils are mostly composed of Kimmeridgian marl and limestone, rich in marine fossils, which give the wines their mineral character and remarkable tension on the palate.

The white wines of Château de Béru are appreciated for their finesse, elegance and minerality. Château de Béru works organically and produces natural Chablis without sulfur but with great aromatic precision. Château de Béru's natural wines are alive and unprotected, so they need to be preserved in the best conditions.

The Chablis Terroir de Béru is round on the attack, then saline and chiseled on the finish. A superb interpretation of the Chablis terroir. Terroirs de Béru is a cuvée that brings together several of the estate's emblematic parcels, offering a fine balance between tension and deliciousness. Its aromas of green apple, wet stone and fresh flowers precede a lively, chiselled palate, with a fine minerality on the finish. This versatile wine can be enjoyed as an aperitif or with seafood dishes or mature goat's cheeses.

The Cuvée Montserre has extra crystallinity, with the race that can be found in many 1er cru. This is a cuvée to discover absolutely. Montserre is a high-altitude cuvée distinguished by its freshness and aromatic intensity. The nose reveals notes of lemon, orange zest and flint, while the palate is lively and crystalline, with a fine salinity on the finish. This elegant wine goes perfectly with oysters, shellfish or citrus-flavored vegetarian dishes.

Côte aux Prêtes is a parcel of Château de Béru, exposed to the rising sun, of great finesse

.

Finally, the cuvée Monopole du Chateau de Béru is a great Chablis de garde, sparkling. One of the finest terroirs in Chablis belongs to this exceptional domaine. Clos Béru Monopole is the estate's flagship cuvée, produced from a single enclosed parcel. This wine expresses all the richness of the terroir, with complex aromas of citrus fruit, white flowers and gunflint. On the palate, it combines power and mineral tension, with remarkable length. It pairs ideally with seafood, fine fish or mature cheeses.

You can pair the white wines of Château de Béru with fine seafood dishes, but also pretty planked fish or lightly matured cheeses. We also love them as aperitifs, as they prepare the palate admirably for the meal thanks to their lovely sapidity! There's nothing like a great white from Chablis to savor Burgundy!
