Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2020 about domaine François Crochet, domaine 1 étoile (out of 3): "This gaillard, a former rugby player, has been revealing himself since 2000 with red Sancerre. François Crochet, who now has a brand-new cellar, doesn't stop at pinot noir. His Sauvignons are also moving upmarket and more precise, expressing the rich, ripe style typical of the Bué area - particularly Chêne Marchand. Successful new white parcellaires (Le Grand Chemarin, Le Petit Chemarin) were introduced in 2014 and 2015. Remarkable precision, accurate terroir definition and the care given to all wines from entry-level onwards, place the domaine among Sancerre's elite."
