Chateau Mangot is an estate located in AOP Saint Emilion Grand Cru and Cotes de Bordeaux Castillon with Chateau La Brande. The Todeschini family runs this magnificent chateau, with Karl in the vineyards and Yann in charge of sales.

Chateau Mangot is a dynamic estate: The chateau practices a conviction-based ecological viticulture where synthetic products, herbicides and insecticides have no place. This commitment has been certified by a conversion to Organic Agriculture, which will become official with the 2020 vintage, and the start of biodynamic practices. Château Mangot has been a member of biodyvin since 2020.

This very demanding work in the vineyard enables us to vinify in a low-interventionist way, as naturally as possible, without biotechnology or artificial additives. Sulfur doses are very limited, between 30 and 60ml/L of total SO2 depending on the vintage, or 1/2 of the amount allowed in organic.

Chateau Mangot vintages

Chateau Mangot has several cuvées in AOP Saint-Emilion Grand Cru but also Côtes de castillon under Chateau la Brande.

The Chateau Mangot en Saint-Emilion Grand Cru is characterized by fine tannins and lovely freshness. This is a wine worked on elegance.

The other Mangot is an original approach: this Saint-Emilion is vinified without sulfur and aged in amphora. Closer to the fruit, it's a modern version of Bordeaux.

The Marmot de la Brande is a Côte de Castillon without sulfur, worked on gourmandise: fresh, it declines on floral notes.

The Chateau La Brande for its part is more classic: barrel-aged, it is a prodond and balanced organic wine.
