Le domaine Gouffier is a winery located in Burgundy, in the village of Fontaines, not far from Chalon-sur-Saone. Domaine Gouffier produces superb organic red and white wines from AOP Bourgogne Cotes Chalonnaises, Mercurey, Givry and Rully in particular.
The Domaine Gouffier was founded in 1947 by the Gouffier family, and is today run by Frédéric Gueugneau, who took over the reins of the domaine in 2008. The estate's organically-farmed vines cover a total area of around 20 hectares, and are planted on clay-limestone soils, which give the wines a fine minerality.
The Domaine Gouffier produces elegant, well-balanced wines, with beautiful aromatic intensity and great finesse. White wines are produced from Chardonnay and Aligoté grapes, and red wines from Pinot Noir.

Cuvée Malpertuis and Cuvée Madeleine are elegant, woody white Burgundies, with a hint of added complexity for Madeleine.
The Montagny 1er cru blanc is a superb gastronomic wine with buttery, white-fruit notes. Nice saline finish.
Les Murgers rouge is a fine Mercurey, a Pinot bursting with greed and freshness.
Le 1er cru Clos de l'évêque is a more concentrated and racy Mercurey, cut out for a few years of cellaring.
