Domaine Chantal Lescure

The Chantal Lescure estate in a few words...

Le Domaine Chantal Lescure, established in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, and today run by their sons Thibault and Aymeric Machard de Gramont, embodies the excellence of organic viticulture in Burgundy. Spanning 18 hectares, the domaine produces a range of organic wines in several renowned appellations in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Domaine Chantal Lescure was sold in 2023 to Jean-Philippe Girard, who teamed up with Éric Rousseau, a well-known name in Burgundy, as he heads the famous Domaine Armand Rousseau in Gevrey-Chambertin.

Under the direction of François Chavériat (retiring in April 2024), appointed cellar master in 1997, Domaine Chantal Lescure has embraced organic viticulture, producing fruity, deep and enchanting wines. The wines are aged in barrels, often used several times, to preserve the authentic expression of the grape varieties. Renowned for their ageing capacity and exemplary consistency, Domaine Chantal Lescure wines are a true invitation to discovery and tasting.

The majority of wines produced at Domaine Chantal Lescure are reds from several appellations. François Chavériat also produces some white gems such as his Beaune Clos des Topes Bizot or Grande Chateleine, which boasts a magnificent minerality. Chantal Lescure's Pinot Noirs reveal great finesse and are particularly expressive, living up to our expectations when tasting a great Burgundy wine.
