Les Clos Perdus

The Domaine Les Clos Perdus in a few words...

Les Clos Perdus are located on the coastal plain of the Corbières, on the edge of the ponds, just south of Narbonne. Domaine Les Clos Perdus was founded in 2002 by winemaking couple Paul Old and Hugo Stewart, both of whom have backgrounds in viticulture and oenology. The Les Clos Perdus vineyard covers an area of around 20 hectares and is made up of several parcels situated on steep, stony hills, at an altitude of up to 500 metres.

Les Clos Perdus are located in an ideal spot for Mouvèdre, which loves deep, moist clay soils and maritime inlets, but also for Carignan present on the slopes that rise towards the hills. The best Clos Perdus Carignan vines were planted in 1905.

Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2021 about Clos Perdus: Biodynamic viticulture and a minimalist approach to cellaring (without leaving anything to chance, however) enable us to offer a series of high-flying cuvées, keeping the naturalness of the fruit and the intensity of the flavors intact, particularly on the voluptuous, fine Corbières Prioundo. The wines know how to age and benefit from aeration. We have great faith in this artisanal estate, one of those through which the renaissance of Corbières wines is passing.

Prioundo des Clos Perdus is a superb, well-balanced Corbières: it's a rich, gourmand organic wine, developing on notes of red fruit (raspberry, cherry), with a mineral finish (earth, wet stone) and bitter orange peel. Very good length.Close

Clos Perdus AOP Corbières - Mire La Mer 2020

Mire la Mer des Clos Perdus is a powerful, racy cuvée. This organic Corbières wine is made from a rigorous selection of grapes from 5 plots with heavy, clay-limestone soils on the edge of the detangs between Peyriac-de-Mer and Bages. The wine is partially aged in barrels. This is a cuvée for laying down, made to last for years. Forget about 10 years in the cellar.Close
