A few words about Vila Voltaire...
Vila Voltaire is a Languedoc estate located on the terroirs of Saint-Chinian and IGP Coteaux d'Ensérune. The estate's priority is to respect its terroir and the life in the soil: Vila Voltaire is therefore organically farmed. Vinification is low-intervention, with a thoughtful use of wood ageing. We fell under the spell of these organic wines, full of fruit and freshness. We were also won over by the precision of Vila Voltaire's wines and their impeccable aromatic definition. A wonderful discovery!
Guide Dussert-Gerber 2020 about Vila Voltaire, 4 coeurs:
"We liked their Saint-Chinian rouge La Faute 2015, with typical notes of garrigue, roasting but also gamey nuances, powerful yet supple on the palate. The IGP blanc Coteaux d'Enserune Puech Auriol 2018, 80% Chardonnay and 20% Carignan blanc, a luminous yellow color, with delicately woody scents, a suave wine, all finesse.
The 2020 rosé, is just as successful as this other Saint-Chinian red Les Orchis du Mazet 2016, with powerful yet fine tannins, intense in the mouth, with connotations of cooked fruit, cinnamon and humus, charming, very well vinified.
And finally this IGP white Coteaux d'Enserune Je suis tombé par terre 2020, brilliantly colored, full of distinction, with a nose dominated by ripe fruit and dried berries, a wine full of subtlety and the 2016 red, with a complex, intense nose, a full-bodied wine, generous, colorful, with a nose dominated by humus and small red stone fruit, ample and fat on the palate."

Puech Auriol Blanc is a pretty dry white blend of carignan and chardonnay: a lovely gourmand treat for this supple organic wine.
Tombé par terre blanc is a rather fresh and mineral viognier, ideal as an aperitif or with fish.
Tombé par terre rouge is a rour with a beautiful personality, on notes of black fruits and garrigues.
Les Orchis du Mazet is an original Saint-Chinian, supple and very fruity.
La Faute is a magnificent Syrah for ageing, developing woody, spicy notes.
