AOC Morgon

The Morgon vineyard is located in the Beaujolais region, which enjoys a continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters. The soils are predominantly clay and limestone, giving the wines their distinct minerality and structure.

The red wines of Morgon PDO are made from Gamay grapes: they are generally an intense ruby-red color. They present aromas of red and black fruits, flowers and spices. They are powerful and full-bodied, with good acidity. They can age for many years.

The wines of Morgon are appreciated for their power, complexity and aging capacity. They are often compared to Beaujolais Cru wines, but are generally less expensive.
