The Domaine de La Tour du Bon in a few words...
The Domaine de La Tour du Bon is a wine estate located in Bandol, in the Var region of France. This magnificent estate produces red, white and rosé wines. The reds are made mainly from Mourvèdre, Bandol's king grape variety with great ageing potential.
The Domaine de La Tour du Bon is situated on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, offering panoramic views over the Bay of Bandol. It was founded in 1955 the year the first vineyards were planted on the property.

France's best wine guide to the 2-star Domaine de La Tour du Bon: "The Hocquard family has been at the helm of this estate since 1968. In Le Castellet, La Tour du Bon benefits from a special terroir of limestone and sandy stumps enjoying varied exposures, making it one of the earliest-ripening vineyards in Bandol. In 1990, with the arrival of Agnès Hocquard-Henry at the head of the estate, the wine took on a new dimension! Surrounded by winemakers from the Loire Valley (Thierry Puzelat and Antoine Pouponeau), she has steered a course of excellence, with wines that retain great personality and age harmoniously in a delicate profile without ever over-ripening, over-extracting or over-ageing. Since 2013, the inquisitive winemaker has been isolating Mourvèdre grapes for the En Sol cuvée, macerated for six months in amphora. An ancestral but perilous practice (the wines can fall into heaviness and lack precision) magnificently mastered in a fine red endowed with a rare iodized sensation.."
