Le Château les Annereaux in a few words...
The Château des Annereaux has a long and rich history that begins in the 14th century. Since that time, descendants of the Annereau family have farmed their ancestors' land from generation to generation, and to this day without interruption.
Extending over a total area of 25 hectares, 22.7 ha are devoted to the Lalande de Pomerol appellation and 2.3 ha to the Bordeaux appellation. The Lalande-de-Pomerol appellation benefits from a temperate oceanic climate, characterized by mild winters and hot summers, enabling optimal ripening of the grapes. The presence of the Isle river favors ideal thermal regulation, preserving the freshness and aromatic complexity of the wines.
.The soils of Château des Annereaux are predominantly composed of gravel and clay, offering excellent drainage and allowing Merlot, the dominant grape variety, to express all its roundness and intensity. Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon complete the blend, bringing structure and complexity.
The single vineyard, located to the west of the Lalande de Pomerol appellation, is established on the middle terrace of the Isle valley. The soil is composed of quaternary deposits (Riss formation) of sand, gravel and large pebbles. Its gravelly nature gives it a marked viticultural vocation thanks to its great aptitude for participating in good grape ripening and favoring the production of great wines.
The Château des Annereaux has been in organic conversion since 2007 and achieved certification in 2010.
The great wine produced on the Lanlande de Pomerol AOC is of rare elegance and beautiful balance, qualities often lost in Bordeaux in recent years.
The Château des Annereaux is a sure bet in the appellation: the wines are highly consistent, even in difficult vintages. Rigorous work in the vineyard and cellar has paid off. Prices have remained moderate, so take advantage!

Here's a very pretty organic Lalande-de-Pomerol in a very successful 2020 vintage. The château des Annereaux produces a wine with a fruity, harmonious attack. The elegant tannins are well-integrated and silky. The aromatic palette is marked by fruitiness and a restrained, mellow woodiness. Good length. An elegance and balance rare in modern Bordeaux. We love this lacy wine.
