AOC Condrieu is a French wine appellation located in the Rhône-Alpes region, on the right bank of the Rhône, some 30 kilometers south of Lyon. It is renowned for its dry white wines, made from the Viognier grape.
The Condrieu vineyard extends over 140 hectares, on steep south-facing slopes. The soils are granitic and schistose, giving the wines a characteristic minerality. The climate is continental, with Mediterranean influences. Organic farming is booming in the Condrieu AOC. By 2023, around 30% of the vineyard area is certified organic, i.e. some 42 hectares.
Viognier is an aromatic and expressive grape variety, but it's also temperamental and difficult to grow. It only thrives on specific terroirs and requires special know-how.

Condrieu white wines are characterized by their straw-yellow color, intense nose of floral aromas (peach, apricot, violet), and full, fleshy mouthfeel. They are endowed with fine acidity and a long finish.
