The silky, sapid material offers moderate intensity but displays very nice relief, a fine, alert texture. Above-average freshness enlivens the finish.

ClosePessac-Léognan PDO is a French wine appellation located in the Bordeaux vineyards, on the left bank of the Garonne River. The terroir of Pessac-Léognan is characterized by gravelly soils, composed of gravel and pebbles rolled from the Pyrenees and the Garonne. These well-drained soils enable the vines to root deeply, giving them good resistance to drought. The climate is temperate oceanic, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
The red wines of Pessac-Léognan are generally rich and complex, with aromas of ripe red and black fruits, spices and tobacco. They have fine, elegant tannins, and can be kept for many years. The white wines of Pessac-Léognan are also highly reputed. They are generally dry, with good acidity and aromas of exotic fruits, white flowers and minerality.
.Some of Pessac-Leognan's Châteaux have undertaken organic conversion, including Chateau Haut-Bergey, which is now Biodynamic.

CloseL'abeille de Fieuzal rouge is a superb Pessac-Leognan red, fruity and full of energy. This is Chateau Fieuzal's second wine, which requires more time to taste. A great success for Chateau Fieuzal in this balanced 2019 vintage.
