Domaine Ray-Jane

The Domaine Ray-Jane, located in Le Plan du Castellet, is an emblematic vineyard of the Bandol appellation in Provence. With a winegrowing history dating back to 1288, this family-run estate perpetuates ancestral know-how while adopting environmentally-friendly practices. Certified organic, Domaine Ray-Jane produces red, rosé and white wines that reflect the authenticity and richness of their terroir.

The Domaine Ray-Jane is the fruit of the union of Raymond and Jane Constant, who brought together the lands of their winegrowing ancestors, active since the XIIIᵉ century in the communes of Le Castellet and La Cadière. In 1970, they decided to centralize winemaking by building a modern winery equipped with stainless steel tanks, a first in the Bandol region. Today, their son Alain, accompanied by his wife Anne and their sons Julien and Vincent, carry on the family tradition with passion and dedication.

The vineyard extends over 40 hectares of clay-limestone and Triassic soils, laid out in dry-stone restanques, more than a third of which are century-old vines. The vines are grown in the traditional way: without weedkillers or chemicals, with ploughing and hand-picking, respecting nature and ancestral know-how. This organic approach is certified by ECOCERT, guaranteeing wines made with respect for the environment.

The Domaine Ray-Jane offers a varied range of wines under the AOC Bandol appellation, as well as vins de pays du Var, all certified organic.

Bandol Tradition Rouge : A blend dominated by Mourvèdre, complemented by Cinsault and Grenache, this wine offers aromas of red and black fruits, with spicy notes and a beautiful tannic structure.

Bandol Rosé "Cuvée de Sanary": Developed in partnership with the town of Sanary-sur-Mer, this emblematic rosé seduces with its freshness and delicate aromas of red fruit and citrus.

Bandol Blanc "Cuvée de Sanary": This white wine, also made in collaboration with the town of Sanary, offers floral and fruity notes, with a beautiful minerality on the palate.

The Domaine Ray-Jane boasts an exceptional eco-museum, showcasing a collection of cooperage and winemaking tools, testifying to Raymond Constant's passion for winegrowing heritage. Tours and tastings are regularly organized, offering visitors an immersion in the history and traditions of the estate.
