Domaine Vincenti

The Domaine Vincenti is located in the heart of the Patrimonio appellation in northern Corsica, one of the island's most emblematic wine-growing regions. This anchorage, in a terroir marked by Corsica's history and geological singularity, gives the estate's wines an assertive identity, made up of strength, minerality and elegance. If Patrimonio is recognized as the cradle of Niellucciu, the island's king grape variety and a direct descendant of the Italian Sangiovese, Domaine Vincenti has established itself as a benchmark by showcasing this grape variety through viticulture that respects the soil and patient work in the cellar. The estate remains on a human scale, faithful to an artisanal vision of wine, where each plot is cultivated with meticulous attention.

The Patrimonio terroir is based on a mosaic of clay-limestone and schist soils that favor balanced ripeness and beautiful aromatic depth. The maritime influence is decisive: the vines, swept by the winds, benefit from a climate that is both Mediterranean and temperate, preserving freshness and avoiding excessive heat. This rare alchemy gives Domaine Vincenti wines a mineral tension that always accompanies the solar richness of the grapes. The presence of the Corsican relief, abundant sunshine and proximity to the sea create an environment where Niellucciu, but also Vermentinu, express themselves with authenticity and precision.

The choice of organic viticulture is an obvious one for the estate, long convinced that soil vitality is the key to terroir expression. Treatments are reduced to a strict minimum, grassing is favored to encourage biodiversity, and the soil is worked in a reasoned manner to never impoverish it. Harvesting is carried out by hand, with rigorous sorting to ensure that only the healthiest grapes enter the cellar. The same high standards are applied to vinification: indigenous yeasts, minimal intervention, gentle extraction and ageing adapted to each cuvée. The Domaine Vincenti claims a style where the fruit is never masked, where balance takes precedence over showmanship, and where the sincerity of the terroir comes first.

The estate's red wines, made mainly from Niellucciu, fully express Patrimonio's typicity. The dense, deep color announces aromas of black fruit, wild blackberry and plum, to which are added notes of garrigue, Corsican scrubland and fine leather. The palate is full-bodied and fleshy, structured by present but polished tannins, with a long, vibrant finish. These reds are both powerful and refined, capable of aging magnificently, developing over the years nuances of blond tobacco, truffle and sweet spices.

The estate's white Patrimonio from Vermentinu embodies another facet of this terroir. Its bright, pale color precedes a nose dominated by white flowers, citrus zest and a hint of iodine that recalls the proximity of the sea. On the palate, the wine combines richness and freshness, with a fine amplitude underpinned by a sharp minerality. This white stands out as a luminous expression of Patrimonio, at once greedy and taut, capable of surprising with its ageing potential. Over time, it evolves towards more complex notes of dried fruit, honey and warm stone.

Some cuvées from parcels or old vines allow us to go even further in reading the terroir. The oldest plots, deeply rooted in limestone soils, offer remarkably dense reds, where aromatic concentration is coupled with rare elegance. These wines are often marked by great persistence and a noble tannic structure, destined for long, harmonious ageing. Domaine Vincenti succeeds in producing wines that reflect both the wild soul of Corsica and the classic elegance of the great Mediterranean terroirs.

The estate's style is based on a constant search for balance. While the natural power of the Corsican terroir is present, it is always kept in check by the freshness provided by Vermentinu in the whites and the minerality expressed by Niellucciu in these limestone soils. The result is straightforward, pure wines that need no artifice to impress.
