In the heart of the Pomerol plateau, Château Gombaude-Guillot draws its substance from one of the world's greatest terroirs. He has chosen to make the most of it by practicing organic farming and very balanced breeding. A great success!

The wines have been consistent and highly successful for several vintages now. The freshness brought by Olivier Techer has given a real youthful touch to the wines of château Gombaude-Guillot, with in particular a very fine creation that is Pom'N Roll.

Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2020 for Château Gombaude-Guillot: Claire Laval, who has run it since 1983, applies organic farming with conviction, extended by a very "natural" approach to winemaking. Her son Olivier Techer has been vinifying since 2010, taking the approach initiated by his parents even further, notably by radically lowering the doses of sulfur added to the wines (since 2014, around 25 mg at bottling only). The latest vintages of this vintage seem to us to be particularly interesting and justify the star awarded this year. The wine is always endowed with a great frankness of expression, as well as a deep sense of place; despite its specificities, it doesn't try to play the wow and ages very well.

The cuvées of Château Gombaude-Guillot

The Cadet de Gombaude is a supple, elegant Pomerol from sandy terroir that gives it this delicacy.

Pom'N'Roll is a cuvée that signs Pomerol's revival, with expressive fruit and a nice proportion of Malbec, we love it.

Château Gombaude-Guillot is a great Pomerol wine, which has gained in fruit since 2016 and the drop in barrel ageing for terracotta jars. The tannins are finer and the fruit more present.
