CloseThe Domaine Jean Fournier in a few words....
The Domaine Jean Fournier is located in Marsannay-la-Côte and produces great organic Burgundy wines. The domaine owns vines in AOC Marsannay, Fixin, Gevrey-Chambertin and Côte de Nuits in particular. Jean Fournier, whose estate covers sixteen hectares, works his vines with the greatest care, following the rules of organic farming since 2004, certified since 2008.
The many old vines and long ageing periods give the wines great ageing potential. Each cuvée from the domaine Jean Fournier has plenty of personality. Domaine Jean Fournier's red wines are full-bodied, with intense Pinot Noirs. Domaine Jean Founier's white wines are beautifully balanced, gourmet and well-integrated.
Prices have remained reasonable, so it's time to take advantage.
Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2023, domaine 1 étoile: "We've been following his production for a few years now, and the quality level is now high, raising the profile of the Marsannay appellation, among others. A very safe address, in red as in white, which last year reached the first star."

The cuvées of Domaine Jean Fournier
The Bourgogne rouge has a lovely intensity, a pinot that pinotes!
The Fixin les Petits Crais from domaine Jean Fournier is of rare finesse: greedy and structured at the same time.
The Côtes de Nuits Croix Violettes is fine and balanced. It's a lovely, elegant bottle for ageing, made from old vines.
The Marsannay VV Trois Terres is concentrated, greedy and long. A benchmark for this little-known AOC. Domaine Jean Fournier takes full advantage of a great terroir combined with aged vines that produce great pinots.
The Marsannay blanc Saint Urbain is a good balance between woodiness and tension. A well-priced bottle that allows you to taste great Burgundies at reasonable prices. The Marsannay Saint Urbain rouge is accessible in its youth, but can be enjoyed over 5-7 years.
The Gevrey-Chambertin village is one of the PDO's finest value-for-money wines; unfortunately, it is produced in very small quantities. The 1er cru Champeaux is even more confidential: forget about it for 10 years in the cellar to taste it at its best.
The domaine's Aloxe-Corton plays on finesse and freshness: a fine interpretation of the appellation.
La P'tite Grumotte du domaine Jean Fournier is a magnificent Marsannay that needs more than 5 years of cellaring to begin to deliver. It will reveal itself at ease with game birds.
Finally, Domaine Jean Fournier produces some of the finest aligotés in Burgundy: old vines from the cuvée Aux Boutières, to the beautiful salinity of En Auvonne, Laurent helps us rediscover this magical grape variety on beautiful terroirs!
