A few words about Château Les Croisille...
Chateau Les Croisille, located on the limestone terroirs of Cahors, is an emblematic wine estate in the region. Founded in the 1970s by Bernard and Cécile Croisille, it is now run by their children, who perpetuate tradition while innovating with environmentally-friendly practices. Strongly attached to its terroir, the estate converted to organic farming in 2013, and focuses on the emblematic Cahors grape variety: Malbec. Thanks to a precise and passionate approach, Château Les Croisille crafts powerful, elegant wines that faithfully reflect the richness of the Lot Valley's limestone soils.
Château Les Croisille extends over 30 hectares of vines planted on the limestone plateaus of Cahors, also known as "causses". This terroir, situated at an altitude of over 300 meters, gives the wines great freshness and a remarkable tannic structure. The vineyards benefit from a semi-continental climate, with hot summers and cool nights, ideal conditions for slow, gradual ripening of the grapes. The limestone and clay-limestone soils are rich in minerals, allowing Malbec to express all its power and complexity. These soils bring a beautiful tension and a unique minerality to the estate's wines.
Malbec, the emblematic grape variety of Cahors, is the backbone of the Château Les Croisille wines. This grape gives birth to colorful, deep and powerful wines, with aromas of black fruits, spices and a beautiful tannic structure. Grown on limestone soils, the estate's Malbec develops **great finesse**, remarkable freshness and exceptional ageing potential.
