Domaine Cornin

The Domaine Dominique Cornin in a few words...

The domaine Cornin produces some of the most elegant and prodigious Pouilly-Fuissé. Dominique, the father, and Romain, the son, converted the estate to organic viticulture in 2009; since Romain took over vinification, the wines have gained in precision, elegance and minerality. From the simple Pouilly village, to Clos Reyssié, via Chevrières, all domaine Cornin climats are highly recommendable. You'll fall under their spell. Watch out, you'll fall in love!

The domaine Cornin has some particularly high-quality parcels: we can mention, for example, the cuvée les Chevrières, which has been classified as a 1er cru since 2020, but also les Plessys, a magnificent parcel of old vines, or the Macon-Chaintré, made from vines over 80 years old.

Wine and food pairings are numerous with wines from this estate: fish, of course, but also cheeses, vegetables, aperitifs and white meats are all dishes to discover with these gourmet wines.

The Domaine Cornin cuvées

The Domaine Cornin has several cuvées on the magnificent Pouilly-Fuissé terroir:

- The cuvée le Plessys, is made from old Chardonnay vines. It's a greedy, rather spherical organic white wine, even if the finish is saline.

- Clos Reyssié develops on very ripe fruity notes: a beautiful gourmand roundness.

- The 1er cru Chevrières is a more mineral and upright Pouilly-Fuissé, even if the greediness is definitely there!

The Saint Véran du domaine Cornin has great energy, developing on notes of candied pears and oranges to finish on minerality.

The Macon-Chaintré, for its part, is rounder and on southern notes of exotic fruits.

Finally, the Macon-Fuissé is a fine introduction to Pouilly-Fuissé, with that expressive fruit and final minerality.

Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2025: "Today, it's Dominique Cornin and his son Romain, seasoned winemakers, who do everything they can to express their varied terroirs in Mâcon, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé: working organically (certified in 2009), ploughing with horses, biodynamic preparations, no inputs and minimal interventions in the cellar. The Pouilly-Fuissé parcels are aged for 12 months in demi-muid and barrel, then 12 months on lees in vat, and bottled without fining or filtration. Sincere, healthy and nourishing, expressing their terroirs very finely, the wines correspond perfectly to the style we are keen to defend in the region."
