Domaine Santa Duc

The Domaine Santa Duc is a family-run wine estate located in Gigondas, in the Rhône Valley. Founded in 1874 by Joseph Gras, today it extends over 21 hectares of vines spread across the Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Côtes du Rhône Villages appellations.

The Domaine Santa Duc vineyard is planted on clay-limestone and sandy soils, characteristic of the Côtes du Rhône region. These soils, combined with a warm, dry Mediterranean climate, give the grapes beautiful ripeness and aromatic richness.

Domaine Santa Duc is today run by Yves Gras, who represents the sixth generation of winemakers in the family. Yves Gras is a passionate winemaker who perpetuates the family traditions while adapting to modern demands.

Domaine Santa Duc is best known for its Gigondas appellation red wines, which are among the most renowned in the region. These wines are powerful and elegant, with silky tannins and beautiful aromatic complexity. They are made from the Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah and Cinsault grape varieties.

The Domaine Santa Duc has been certified organic since 2007. This approach aims to produce healthier wines that are more respectful of the environment.
