Domaine de Séailles

A few words about Domaine de Séailles

The Domaine de Séailles is located in Mouchan in the Gers region, in the heart of Armagnac and Côtes de Gascogne. In 1997, Jean Labérenne began converting the family estate to organic production, which now covers 26 hectares (13 white, 13 red, 24 for Vin de Pays and 2 for Armagnac). Located in the Ténarèze area, which gives the wine its distinctive taste (with its limestone subsoil), the estate has long built up a fine reputation for producing fine, vintage Armagnacs, which are wisely left to wait "as long as it takes", before being marketed. Wine production at domaine de Séailles dates back to the mid-2000s. Quality continues to improve, and the domaine de Séailles wines are recognized in leading guides such as Bettane et Dessauve.

The Cubik cuvées from the domaine de Séailles are excellent buddy wines with great value for money, in both red and white.

The Presto cuvées benefit from longer ageing: the wines are more complex, with a fine scope while remaining accessible.

Finally, the L'orféo cuvée is the grand cuvée de garde of the domaine de Séailles: this is a 100% Cabernet cuvée aged 24 months in barrel. Powerful, racy, it possesses fine balance and would make many a Bordeaux blush.
