Le Domaine Lombard in a few words...
Le Domaine Lombard consists of 10 hectares of Brézème and 2 hectares of vin de pays de la Drôme. The estate is one of the oldest private wineries in this appellation.The reds come exclusively from the Syrah grape variety. They are vinified with virtually no input in concrete vats, then aged in barrels and demi-muids from 1 to 5 wines. The whites are made from Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier grapes. They are vinified and then aged in barrels and demi-muids in our cellar.The Domaine Lombard is farmed organically and biodynamically. Julien Montagnon, who runs the estate with conviction, produces great Rhône wines full of freshness and elegance. A wonderful discovery!Progress at Domaine Lombard is constant: the wines are constantly gaining in precision and maturity.
The Brézème blanc is reminiscent of a superb Burgundy, with its freshness and aromatic complexity.
La Re-Nomée is a blend of syrah and viogner, more of a thirst-quenching wine, a fine introduction to the Northern Rhone Valley.
