Domaine François Villard belongs to the elite of Rhône Valley wines. A former chef, François Villard, who has decided to run his vineyard as a certified organic farm since 2019, produces wines from the northern Rhône Valley that are more focused on finesse. Here, the emphasis is not on opulence, but on good ripeness without heaviness, creating wines with length and uprightness, while respecting the fruit. The Seul en Scène cuvée from domaine François Villard is a superb discovery. On the nose, the wine is an explosion of violets, directly announcing the Syrah. This is followed by notes of ripe fruit such as cherry and jammy strawberry. The palate is tender and suave with young but already velvety tannins.
