At the age of 17, this trained cabinetmaker was to become a winemaker. He decided to make bottled wines rather than give his harvest to the cooperative winery. In 1987, he acquired the Ebrescade terroir and produced one of the finest wines in the Southern Rhône. He defines the way he creates his organic wines as follows: a natural approach to winemaking, questioning the use of products or techniques that erase the identity of the vintage or contribute to the production of standard wines. The organic bottles produced in Cairanne by the domaine Marcel Richaud are without equal. Marcel Richaud's attention to the vines and winemaking have made the domaine Richaud a benchmark for gourmet, fresh Rhône Valley wines.
