Domaine Remoortere, Menetou-Salon Red 2025: an organic dry red wine, 100% Pinot Noir, aged in Morogues, in the Centre-Loire region. Red fruit, a floral note, and a fresh palate. Serve with white meats, roasted poultry, or goat cheese.
The Menetou-Salon Red 2025 is the Pinot Noir from Domaine Remoortere, in Morogues, in the Cher department. This dry red wine from the Menetou-Salon appellation is produced using organic farming methods and complements the Sauvignon Blancs that have built the estate’s reputation in Loire.
Antoine Van Remoortere took over the family estate in Morogues after working at other wineries in France and abroad. Pinot Noir grows on clay-limestone soils, which are better suited to delicate, fresh reds than to full-bodied wines. It is the sole grape variety in this cuvée.
The 2025 Menetou-Salon Red offers aromas of red fruit with a floral note. On the palate, it is supple and fresh, with fine tannins.
Serve it slightly chilled to preserve its fruitiness and liveliness. It pairs well with white meats, roasted poultry, fish in sauce, cold cuts, and goat cheeses that aren’t too dry.
