The Domaine de Herrebouc in a few words...
Le Domaine de Herrebouc is an estate located in IGP Côtes de Gascogne. Domaine de Herrebouc has belonged to the Fitte family since 1999, who own the vines and the property's magnificent château. Since 1999, a great deal of work has been carried out, including uprooting and replanting vines between 1999 and 2006, switching to organic farming in 2005 and modernizing the winery.
.
Carine & Hélène are the 2 winemakers at the helm of the domaine de Herrebouc since 2004: they produce numerous gourmet cuvées with a very natural approach to wine. In addition, they practice long aging and market ready-to-drink bottles, a rare approach in France.
The Herrebouc estate currently covers 18 hectares of vines planted with 10 grape varieties, typical of the South-West: Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Petit and Gros Manseng for the whites; Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Tannat and Syrah for the reds.
The estate has been certified biodynamic since the 2020 vintage: the vines are managed biodynamically, vinification limits the use of inputs and maturation is done either in stainless steel tanks or oak barrels.
The vineyards of Domaine de Herrebouc are surrounded by 50 hectares of other agricultural production, also produced organically.
