Domaine Eric Chevalier - Muscadet - Star Fish 2025

Domaine Eric Chevalier is a 29-hectare family-owned estate located in the western Loire Valley, in the Muscadet Côtes de Grandlieu region. In 2006, after studying oenology and spending about ten years in the wine trade, Eric Chevalier took over the family estate—he was joined in 2008 by his sister Gaëlle. The vineyards are spread across three areas: Saint-Colomban, l’Aujardière, and Saint-Philbert-de-Grandlieu, and have been farmed organically since 2016.

Benefiting from the combined influence of the Atlantic coast, the Loire River, and Lake Grandlieu—the largest natural lowland lake in France—the estate produces oceanic wines, fresh and briny, bearing the mark of “where they were born.” Winemaking is carried out using native yeasts, with very modest amounts of sulfur.

Star Fish, made from 100% Melon de Bourgogne, deliberately avoids the long, traditional aging on lees typical of Muscadet—the goal here is pure freshness and a distinct iodine-and-sea character, in a precise, no-frills style that has earned the estate praise as one of the best value-for-money wines in the entire appellation.
