Dominique Andiran is a unique figure in the Gers wine region. A former ski instructor, he entered the wine industry about fifteen years ago with a single-minded goal: to start out exclusively with organic—and even natural—wines, using little to no sulfites—a radical choice that has earned him a reputation among lovers of wines with character. Based in Montréal-du-Gers, he cultivates 19 hectares using organic farming methods.
His wines are so unconventional that they do not meet the standards of local appellations and are therefore marketed as “Vin de France”—a deliberate choice that gives him complete freedom in blending and winemaking. Dominique Andiran is thus one of the few winemakers in the Gers to produce organic wines in all colors—authentically expressive, complex, and offering excellent value for money: Magnus for its burst of red fruit, Montis Régalis for its astonishing freshness, and Vain de Rû for its exceptional character.
Petit Magnus, a more accessible version of the estate’s flagship cuvée, features the same characteristic blend—a true burst of fruit, genuine and unpretentious.
