Lucie Mançais is probably the youngest winemaker in the entire Médoc region. Yet nothing seemed to set her on this path—even though her family owns vineyards and her father is a winemaker himself, the idea of becoming a winemaker had never even crossed her mind. Everything changed in 2017, when she left her sports studies in Font-Romeu, driven by a desire to return home, work in nature, and be free. Armed with a vocational diploma in viticulture and oenology, she took over her grandparents’ Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in 2020, at just 23 years old — 2 hectares in Moulis-en-Médoc and 1.5 hectares in Listrac-Médoc, supplemented by one hectare under lease.
The vineyard, cultivated organically from the very beginning, is now fully certified. This 2020 vintage is Lucie Mançais’s very first—a fruity Listrac-Médoc, with no added oak, round and approachable on the palate, designed to appeal to both seasoned wine lovers and new tasters alike. A rising star of the Médoc, described by those who know her as the region’s very own “rock ’n’ roll” star.

Like the 2019, the 2022 vintage Autour de Jonquières du Mas Jullien is built for cellaring. Like all vintages, you'll have to be patient and wait a decade or so to enjoy this wine, which develops notes of red fruits and light spices. A benchmark for the region.
