A few words about Château Les Graves de Viaud
In the heart of the Côtes de Bourg, Le Château Les Graves de Viaud, extends over 15 ha on a south-facing hillside composed of vines, meadows and woods. It is in this beautiful environment that 11.5 ha of vines are planted on clay gravel soils. The estate has existed since 1850, cited in the Féret since 1875. From 1945 to 1993, the estate delivered its grapes to the Pugnac cooperative winery. In 1994, the property changed hands, and the new owners built new winery facilities and vinified the grapes themselves.
.The Château Les Graves de Viaud has been practicing organic and biodynamic farming since 2010. It uses Bouillie Bordelaise, herbal preparations and yeast and bacterial fermentations to combat disease. The Château Les Graves de Viaud fertilizes its soils with organic composts and biodynamic preparations. Ploughing is kept to a minimum. The estate works biodynamically and produces fine, fruity Côtes de Bourg. Prices are reasonable, so take advantage of them.
