The Pomerol PDO in a nutshell
In this section, we offer a selection of organic and biodynamic wines from the Pomerol terroir.
The Pomerol AOC covers the communes of Pomerol, Lalande de Pomerol and Libourne, namely on the right bank of Bordeaux. Pomerol wines are world-famous thanks in particular to Château Petrus, the spearhead of the Pomerol AOC.
Pomerol wines are predominantly red. Pomerol's subsoils are fairly heterogeneous, with layers of clay-limestone, sandy in places or even composed of black clay as in the case of Château Pétrus. Pomerol wines are characterized by their velvety, fruity youth. They develop notes of truffles and almonds with age.
