A classic Pomerol on finesse, we love it!"The vineyard of Château Mazeyres is located on a beautiful hilltop of sandy gravel with a subsoil composed of clayey gravel; another part extends over the Catusseau plateau, made up of sands on a molasse subsoil very rich in "iron dross". Enriched by his experience at Château Fonroque (1% biodynamic viticulture for 6 years), Alain Moueix has observed significant changes in the interaction between plant, soil, subsoil and environment, producing an authentic and refined expression of terroir in the wines produced. Since 212, the estate has been in conversion, and 215 should be the first AB-certified vintage.
