Domaine Plageoles' vin de voile is a great success for lovers of oxidative wines. The Gaillac acolyte of vin jaune or vin de xeres, this organic wine features notes of walnuts, almonds and dried fruit. Superb with cheese.The Domaine Plageoles produces some of the most original organic wines in the South-West. Since 185, Domaine Plageoles has been producing Gaillac wine from local grape varieties such as Mauzac and Ondenc for white wines, and Duras, Braucol and Prunelart for reds. He has given a new lease of life to old grape varieties to perpetuate the Gaillac vineyard tradition.Le domaine Plageoles works its vines in a totally natural way, and does very little sulfuring of its wines. As a result, each cuvée has a great expression of fruit.Guide des meilleurs vins de France 2019 (domaine 2 étoiles sur 3): "The Plageoles family has left its mark on the recent history of Gaillac. Domaine Marcel Deiss Alsace 1er cru - Langenberg 2022

This 1er cru Langenberg 2022 from Domaine Marcel Deiss is a superb success. Nose of lemon, grapefruit and white flowers (lily of the valley, elderberry), light mineral touches spice up the bouquet, the palate is airy and subtle, like an aromatic cloud, leaving on the finish a sensation of salinity so characteristic of St Hippolyte's granite terroirs. The wine is fuller and more complex than a simple Riesling St Hippolyte; the material is more subtle and bounces back with little acidic, tonic twitches.
