The Domaine des Marrans, founded in 1970 in Fleurie, cultivates its vineyards in the northern part of Beaujolais. Its 2024 Red Beaujolais is a Gamay made from old vines—fresh, juicy, and easy to drink.
This Beaujolais is a 100% Gamay made from old vines grown organically on granite soils. The harvest is entirely hand-picked. The wine is vinified from whole clusters using a traditional semi-carbonic maceration process with indigenous yeasts. It is then aged briefly in tanks to preserve its freshness and fruitiness.
The color is a bright, light red. The nose evokes strawberry, raspberry, violet, and peony, with a hint of spice. The palate is light to medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a fresh, juicy finish.
