The Château du Hureau, located in the heart of the Saumur-Champigny appellation, brilliantly embodies the pure and sincere expression of Cabernet Franc. Managed by Philippe Vatan, this family-run estate covers 20 hectares and features meticulous vineyard management based on the principles of organic farming. Since taking over, Philippe Vatan has focused on revealing all the richness of this Loire terroir through precise, low-intervention vinifications, giving rise to wines of great finesse.

This organic wine located not far from Chateauneuf-du-pape comes from a very qualitative terroir composed of sand and clay mixed with rolled pebbles. An exceptional wine from old Grenache vines, aged 16 months, partly in amphorae. Finesse and power combine in this great wine from the southern Rhone Valley.

The cuvée Les Fevettes du Château du Hureau is made from the estate's oldest vines. This Saumur-Champigny is built for ageing: it develops notes of black and red fruits, undergrowth and mushrooms. Superb substance resting on velvety tannins.

Chateau du Hureau's Cuvée Argile is a magnificent Chenin from Saumur. This organic Loire wine develops notes of green apple, but also citrus (lime), a touch of honey with a lovely minerality. The palate is both full-bodied and straightforward, a great success!
