Superb length!The Domaine des Schistes lies at the crossroads of the terroirs of the Agly valley, in the communes of Estagel, Tautavel and Maury. The first vinification at Domaine des Schistes dates back to 1989, and now the vineyard covers 55 Ha.As its name suggests, the estate is planted mainly on schistose marls. The land lies on the last terraces raised by the emergence of the Corbières limestone massif, and is mainly on slopes. The Domaine des Schistes has chosen to respect and express its terroir by turning to organic farming. The wines are good value for money, both reds and whites. La Cerisaie is a magnificent Maury from the domaine des Schistes, made from grapes aged at least 40 years and located on the southernmost slopes, favoring a beautiful ripeness of the grenache. Aged in barrels for 5 months, it reveals notes of cocoa and prunes. The ideal match for chocolate cakes!
CloseNoria 2019 from Château la Croix des Pins has superb aromatic qualities, dominated by spices and dried fruit. A delicate touch of juniper and black pepper suggests that this wine has a bright future ahead of it. On the palate, notes of cocoa, dark chocolate and candied cherry.

Lladoner pelut, Carignan, Grenache Noir, and a touch of Cinsault; Schist-rich marl, south-facing slopes, Tautavel commune, heart of the garrigue, early ripening. Destemmed harvest, 10-day maceration with light daily wetting, racking to air after malolactic fermentation, aged in cement tanks, no racking or sulfiting before bottling.
Best enjoyed 2024–2029.
