A lovely organic aperitif wine, it will also be at home with summer dishes (antipasti, salads...)The Domaine des Schistes is located at the crossroads of the terroirs of the Agly valley, on the communes of Estagel, Tautavel and Maury. The first vinification at Domaine des Schistes dates back to 1989, and now the vineyard covers 55 Ha.As its name suggests, the estate is planted mainly on schistose marls. The land lies on the last terraces raised by the emergence of the Corbières limestone massif, and is mainly on slopes. The Domaine des Schistes has chosen to respect and express its terroir by turning to organic farming. The wines are good value for money, both reds and whites. The cuvée Tradition du Pin des Marguerites is a lovely, supple Saint-Chinian. This organic wine from a fresh schist terroir develops garrigue and red fruit notes, with smoky touches. Supple tannins on the palate. Fresh, balanced finish!

L'atout du Pique du domaine Pique-Basse is a cuvée from a single 45-year-old plot of white Grenache, very rare in a "roaixois" landscape dominated by red wines, located below the Ventraben massif lieu dit les crottes. This 100% Grenache blanc develops notes of sun-kissed fruit, followed by a remarkable balance between mellowness and freshness, finishing with a citrus/fennel duo. A gastronomic white!

The cuvée Essencial rouge du domaine des Schistes is from a terroir of schist marl slopes and clay-limestone plateau in the commune of Tautavel. The wine is quite expressive with notes of black fruit and zan. The palate is smooth, well-balanced and quite complex: spices (pepper) mingle with black fruits (blackberry). Good length. Good value for money.

Solera du domaine des Schistes is a Rivesaltes of great complexity: made using a solera method, where older wines are blended with younger ones, this organic wine reveals itself to be complex, with notes of candied apricots, orange, honey and dried fruit. Superb length!

Coumeille du domaine des Schistes is a plot with an overwhelming majority of Syrah. This organic Roussillon wine develops aromas of black fruits and spices, all resting on a fine structure.
